The Early Learning Coalition has partnered with various programs to provide Early Educators an opportunity to obtain their Florida Equivalent CDA or Directors Credential. We are committed in supporting our Early Learning Credential Programs to increase our Early Childhood Workforce, providing our Early Learning Centers, Quality Trained Teachers.
Option 1
Early Childhood Apprenticeship
The apprenticeship programs meet once a week for classroom instruction, combined with on-the-job training and support. Students receive a Child Care Apprenticeship Certification and Child Development Associate Equivalency upon completion of the program’s components. The Program is tuition Free, and Materials and textbook are provided by the ELCPH. This program is open to applicants who are currently 17 years of age, employed in a childcare center, and possess a high school diploma or GED. This opportunity is offered at Marchman Technical College and Pasco Hernando State College – Dade City.
Option 2
Early Childhood – 600-hour program
The Early Childhood 600 Hour program provides the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the childcare industry. Students will complete their First Aid & CPR Training, along with their DCF Requirements, to meet the Florida Staff Credential Requirements and obtain their Early Childhood Professional Certification (CDA Equivalency). As per the ELCPH this program is tuition free! To qualify for this program, students must be a minimum of 17 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, and pass the required Background check.

Option 3
ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI)
With the Child Development Associate Credential training program with CCEI, you can build a professional foundation and strengthen your personal capabilities to support your career in early childhood by obtaining your National CDA. This opportunity is self-paced, with support from your Education Advisor.
Option 4
Early Childhood Director Credential
Interested in becoming an Early Childhood Center Director? In Partnership with Pasco Hernando State College, early educators will have the opportunity to “up-skill” and gain the essential skills on becoming a quality Early Learning Center Director.
