November is Family Engagement Month! The Division of Early Learning and the ELCPH would like to invite you to help us kick off the month by creating a supportive environment where families feel informed, engaged, and empowered in their child’s learning journey. Here are some tips to promote family engagement with the families that you serve:
- Please share the Family Engagement attachments with your families and ask them to visit our Facebook/Instagram for Family Engagement information.
- Keep families in the loop by sharing weekly highlights or updates on what their child is learning and accomplishing.
- Encourage families to ask questions, share ideas, and communicate any concerns. Consider creating a group chat or newsletter.
- Invite families to participate in monthly events or activities. These can be on-site or virtual gatherings where families connect with you and each other, building a stronger community around their children.
- Allow for feedback opportunities; We value each family’s perspective. Creating simple feedback opportunities helps us make informed changes that benefit everyone.
