Suncoast Credit Union’s Every Hit is a Win Rays promotion benefits the Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties!
Spring Hill, Florida (September 21, 2023) It has been a great time to root for the Rays and celebrate our home team! Earlier this year Suncoast Credit Union (SCU) launched their program Every Hit is a Win with Suncoast in partnership with The Tampa Bay Rays. For every Rays hit, SCU donates $78.00 (for their 78 branches) up to a monthly maximum of $15,000. The total donation is distributed each month among three nonprofits based on the percentage of votes made for each on the SCU Facebook page.
We’re pleased to announce that the Suncoast Credit Union’s Every Hit is a Win donation of $6,900.00 was awarded to the Coalition, which produced the highest voting results with 46% of the total votes received! The donation will undoubtedly serve to support some of the Coalition’s early literacy initiatives and early education programs such as the START Initiative, which is a free parent workshop for Pasco and Hernando County families focused on the significance of parent-child interactions. “We would like to express our gratitude to Suncoast Credit Union and The Tampa Bay Rays for their collaboration to give back to local nonprofit organizations. Many thanks to the public and our community of supporters on social media who voted and helped spread the word about this promotion.” stated Executive Director, Steve Knobl. Ph.D.
“This is the first year of our ‘Every Hit is a Win’ program and with 15 nonprofit organizations receiving over $70,000 over the last 5 months, we believe this is what success looks like. Partnering with our hometown Tampa Bay Rays is always fun but the real winners are those in our community working to build a better world for others,” said Kevin Johnson, President and CEO of Suncoast Credit Union.
SCU invited 15 organizations to a reception on September 19th at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg during the Rays game to receive their donation awards alongside the Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties.
