Dear Families,

We hope that the 2022/2023 school year is off to a great start for your family! We would like to remind you that the Early Learning Coalition offers free Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) services to all families. CCR&R is a confidential service that helps families select quality early learning programs, understand child development and connect with community resources, consumer education and financial assistance options.

Do you know how to identify quality early learning programs? We have provided you with some tools to use when selecting an early learning program for your child. It is also important that once your child is enrolled, you continue to use these tools to monitor your provider’s ongoing quality and compliance.

The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Provider Profile search allows you to view a provider’s profile (capacity, hours of operation, etc.) as well as their inspection reports from the last three (3) years. Inspection reports will show findings of non-compliance. We encourage families to review provider inspection reports prior to enrolling your child at a child care provider and at least monthly after your child has been enrolled.

DCF Provider Inspection reports can be found at: https://caressearch.myflfamilies.com/PublicSearch. For a tutorial on how to access and understand inspection reports, please view a brief video by clicking here.

We also encourage you to review The Family Guide to Selecting Quality Early Learning Programs, the Quality Checklist for Child Care Centers and Preschools and/or Family Child Care Homes for more information on selecting a high quality learning environment for you child.

For more information on CCR&R, selecting an early learning program or potential resources available for your family, please contact the Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties at 866-797-9444 or www.elcph.org.
