The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties is thrilled to present Full STEAM Ahead 2025!

Full STEAM Ahead is a conference for Early Learning Educators, Leaders, and Professionals focused on STEAM education and professional development.  Taking place on Saturday, February 22, 2025.  This conference will explore the intersection of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in early childhood education.

We are so excited about our STEAM themed conference that will provide a lineup of engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities.  Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of the ELCPH 18th Annual Early Learning Conference!

Keynote Presenter:
Professor Sko

Bill Nye the Science…. GIRL?

Professor Sko believes STEM is for everyone who loves it and she practices what she preaches in this fun and engaging address. Have fun and “play” with science right along with her!

Afterward, she will breakdown the magic of the science, then deliver something even more memorable: how to incorporate “magic” into your own teaching! You will walk away with three important strategies to use right away to make your classroom fun, inspiring, promoting content mastery, and a place that allows young people to always be curious.

Get ready to be empowered AND have a great time!

Keynote Session:
Professor Sko & Dr. Mark Thompson

You met Professor Sko. Now meet the woman behind the character, Brenda Skoczelas, a real-life college Physics professor! Join her in examining many ways you can help young people explore and master STEM concepts using everyday items around your home. See how to use Professor Sko’s videos on YouTube, how-to videos by other teachers, and bellringers and lesson plans available on Professor Sko’s website – all for free!

Dr. Mark Thompson is Brenda’s producer and a college Education professor. He will show you how to engage your students in applying what they learn through Sko videos using “H.O.T. teaching” strategies (Higher Order Thinking). You will get simple question starters that greatly increase the likelihood of students being engaged in critical thinking and mastering science content standards, all while everyone is having a good time. Merge the science and the pedagogy of The Professor Sko Science Show and enhance your students’ learning experience.
